Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Cite, operated at cite.run. By accessing or using Cite, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
Cite is an AI visibility and citation tracking platform. We run prompts across AI platforms on your behalf and provide analytics on how your brand appears in AI-generated responses. The service is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier available.
2. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when signing up. You may not share your account with others or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
3. Acceptable use
You may use Cite to track your own brand and competitive landscape. You may not use Cite to scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data for purposes outside of the platform's intended use. You may not attempt to manipulate or game AI platforms using data from Cite in ways that violate those platforms' own terms of service.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months. Pricing may change with 30 days notice.
5. Data and privacy
We collect the minimum data needed to run the service. We do not sell your data. Brand names, tracked prompts, and results you input into Cite are yours. We may use aggregated, anonymised data to improve the product.
6. Availability
We aim to keep Cite running reliably, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service outages, errors in tracking data, or changes to AI platforms that affect our ability to run prompts.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.
8. Limitation of liability
Cite is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice if we make material changes. Continued use of Cite after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
